The Bermuda national football team have never qualified for the FIFA world cup. Situated in the North Atlantic Ocean, Bermuda is a British overseas territory.
Bermuda makes up the easternmost tip of the infamous Bermuda Triangle. A place where several planes and boats have reportedly disappeared under strange circumstances. It has a subtropical climate and suffers from extreme weather such as hurricanes. These can cause power failures across the country.
Although the Bermuda national football team have never made it to a football world cup, they have made it to a cricket world cup. It was the year 2007 in the West Indies. They may have wished they hadn’t as they now hold the record for the highest amount of runs conceded in fifty overs.
There are also many high quality golf courses in Bermuda which attract famous golfers from around the world.
In 2006 the Bermuda government decided to invest money in the Bermuda national football team. They created the country’s first professional football team which competes in the United States second division.
